I struggle with keyword research. Maybe you also do? Finding keywords isn’t actually the problem. I have a problem finding good ones.
When I used Google’s keyword tool I trusted the results 100%. I mean, they wouldn’t be telling fibs about their data, would they? Sadly, that’s not always how it goes.
The keyword data you see will be out of date and wrong. But it will have been spot on at some time. I accidentally discovered the answer to that puzzle.
I homed in on a key phrase with roughly 5000 competing websites. I was feeling confident enough to rank well with this one. I put out probably thousands of articles.
Not long after I saw that there were now almost nine thousand competing sites. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I started to think thinks weren’t going to be easy as I thought. As it happens most of these extra results were my articles on these different sites.
What I’m saying is that I would have left it alone had I saw over 9000 competing sites. A lot of these sites were ranking with my article so I had a lot of competition but most of it was my own articles. A nice situation to be in!
Anyway, I decided to give a keyword research service a try as I couldn’t count on getting lucky every time. I was looking to get some decent keywords delivered on a daily basis. I had figured that the daily cost against how much work I would save is value for my money.
Travis Sago was offering a keyword research service which I decided to try. Let’s face it, Travis is THE bum marketer. Bum marketing only costs my time so it’s my kind of marketing.
One or two good quality keywords delivered each day could save me hours of time. And a couple hours work is pretty valuable to me. If I contrast a couple hours of my time against the cost each day it has to be value.
Outsourcing, outsourcing, outsourcing. Seems to be all you hear from the gurus of internet marketing. I see this as nothing more than that. I’m paying someone else to research my keywords. I reckon that’s outsourcing.
If you’re interested in how the trial of the Instacash service went then head on over to my web site. I said earlier about how I got loads of articles published for my chosen keyword. I’ll also tell you how I did that at my site.
